About the AVR8414 - Multi-Channel DVR
Video recording is critical to ISR and other airborne missions. With that in mind, we designed the Avalex AVR8414. It offers aerial operators leading-edge features in a multi-channel, compact digital video recorder with Dzus-style housing.
We engineered the AVR8414 precisely for advanced operators who need the capability of recording multiple HD and SD sources at the same time – this allows up to five (5) simultaneous channels in the broad range of signals required by military and other platforms. Advanced features available with the AVR8414 include event marking, KLV data, image snapshots, remote operation, jog-playback and playback-while-record. All standard features like record, stop, pause and play are included, too.
This highly capable system is remarkably easy to use, with features such as one-touch recording, and simple icon-driven buttons. It offers support for 1080p60 recording and streaming, as well as standard definition NTSC or PAL. The AVR8414 can be controlled via the front panel of the DVR or via an on-screen display and the product has multiple inputs and outputs. The high-resolution front panel is a NVIS compatible, graphical display that provides a wide range of status information and is a favorite among operators.
The AVR8414 is part of our AVR8400 series, which provide enormous flexibility to mission systems operators and systems integrators. One novel feature of this series is Reachback. In the situation where a recording may not have been started to capture an event, Reachback allows an operator to go back in time – up to three minutes to start a recording – so critical events are never missed as part of a mission. No complex setup, just select Reachback on the unit and your recording will save to the past.
The AVR8414 represents one of the most advanced airborne DVRs available today.
